'63 Ford Falcon
Seventeen-year-old Sarah Blakley's Falcon has been in the family for a while, with her sister driving it before Sarah took possession of the 170ci six-cylinder daily driver. Sarah has enjoyed the car for about a year now and drives it to school and her job every day.
The Falcon's 170ci engine was recently replaced with a 200ci six (a wise choice of engines), and the original four-speed has been temporarily replaced with a three-speed, as the Blakley family searches for parts to repair the four-speed.
The Falcon was a rough car when the Blakleys purchased it, and it has needed its share of work. A fresh coat of baby blue paint, a recent front
suspension rebuild, and new carpet and seat upholstery have already been accomplished to complement the new drivetrain. There's more work ahead for the little Falcon, but Sarah and her family plan to go through the car completely and restore it to a nice original as time and budget allow.
